STORY OF THIS BLOG

After years of having radical thoughts swimming around in my head, i finally decided to pen them down.

This is a collection of ramblings, thoughts, ideas, visions of a better world, poetry and song that have chanced their way through my head.

I hope you can derive some value and insight from them.

Feel free to share similar thoughts and ideas via links to your own blogs and homepages.

I'd be grateful for any interesting material coming my way.

Jah bless,
Tavish Bhasin

List of 10 musicians i`d kill to meet (Dead and Alive)

LEAD BELLY

1. Bob Marley - The prophet of the 3rd world. The bringer of hope and inspiration for many, even today, many years after his death.

2. Bob Dylan - The voice of a generation, with a scary ability to convert words into visual imagery.

3. John Lennon - What more is there to be said about the man thats not been said already.

4. Anyone from Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones -

5. Ry Cooder - The Alan Lomax of the modern world. The amount of world music he has cataloged and shared with the world is staggering. And a true blues man at heart.

6. Frank Sinatra - Frankie said `I did it my way` and he wasnt lying.

7. Leadbelly - One of the least known dudes on the list, mostly made his music in the 20`s and 30`s, pioneered the blues scene back then. Lived in a time when racial segregation was massive. Im sure he`d have some interesting stories to tell.

8. Eddie Vedder - In today`s times of pop and bullshit well packaged/marketed musicians he brings so much soul, feel and REALITY to his music, its truly a blessing to music lovers from around the world.

9. Bunny Wailer & Lee Scratch Perry - Ive put these guys together because they pretty much pioneered reggae back in the 60`s and spearheaded its journey in much part to where it is today. Restepka boys! Big up to you guys.

10. RajaRam - I had to add atleast one electronic musician to the list. From psy trance to psy bient to psychedelic mantra chants from the Quintessence days, hes created a large impact on trippy music lovers across the world. Definitely an interesting guy worth meeting.
